PROTECT YOUR HOME FROM ALL TYPES OF RODENTS AND PESTS

RATS

You may have read about a new breed of “super rats” immune to poison and too smart to get caught in traps in the last few years but let us assure you that, as smart as they are, we have even smarter traps to deal with them. Often cited as dirtier than cockroaches and obviously more voracious than mice, rats are on the rise in the NSW winter months as your inviting home calls to them with its free food and cosy nooks and crannies to breed in! Because rats have been baited ever since they arrived in Australia with the First Fleet, they have now become impervious to most over-the-counter poisons. And it gets worse – they are also canny enough to steal food from traditional snap traps without getting caught.

The rats in question are the introduced Black and Brown Norwegian Rats that are commonly referred to as Sydney Sewer Rats. These are the giants of the rats in Australia, growing to almost half a kilo in weight and a length of up to 45cm!
Fortunately most of the rats we are called out to remove are roof rats, which although are just as capable of spreading the same diseases as their larger counterparts, they are much smaller at around 25cm long and only 200g in weight.
