General Pest Treatment

General Pest Services

Most of our customers schedule a General Pest Treatment every 6–12 months to maintain year-round protection and peace of mind for their property.

Our General Pest Treatment is designed to control the most common household pests, including webbing spiders, general cockroaches (excluding German cockroaches), silverfish, and any wasp nests that are present at the time of service.

This treatment covers all accessible internal and external areas of your home and property:

  • Internal – skirting boards of all rooms, kitchens, laundries, garages, and roof voids.
  • External – the building perimeter, subfloor (if applicable), window frames, under eaves, sheds, pool areas, outdoor furniture, gardens, bin areas, and entertaining spaces.

The service usually takes 1–2 hours, depending on the size of your property.

We only use professional-grade products that are safe for people and pets. You don’t need to leave the house during treatment, though we do recommend staying clear of freshly treated surfaces until they are completely dry.

Regular General Pest Treatments not only control existing pests but also help prevent new infestations, keeping your home comfortable and pest-free all year round.

Is there a warranty period provided?

Yes, we do provide a warranty on our General Pest Treatment. Providing there are no limitations to our treatment — such as inaccessible areas, overgrown gardens, or stored items preventing full access — we are able to offer a 6-month warranty. This means that if pests covered under the treatment reappear within this period, and the property conditions have remained suitable for effective treatment, we will return to address the issue at no additional cost.
It’s important to note that the success and coverage of the warranty depends on the treated surfaces remaining intact and undisturbed. Certain activities can reduce the effectiveness of the pesticide barrier and may void or hinder the warranty. Examples include:

Pressure cleaning of driveways, walls, or outdoor areas where pesticide has been applied.

Major gardening, landscaping, or soil works where the treated barrier may have been dug up, cut away, or removed.
External washing or high-water use that could wash the treatment away.

If these types of activities take place after your treatment, the protective barrier may be compromised and re-treatment may be required at an additional cost.
Our aim is always to deliver lasting results and peace of mind, which is why we stand by our General Pest Treatment with this warranty when the right conditions are maintained.

If the external areas of your home are to be treated with a pesticide spray, this will need to be completed when the weather is dry to ensure the product dries and remains effective. We will complete all accessible internal areas, external undercover areas, the subfloor (if applicable), roof void and internal garage. Our office will contact you and arrange another suitable date to complete the external areas for you. Generally the pesticide will be dry within one to two hours, depending on the temperature. Any rain after that will not affect the treatment. Generally it is the UV light that breaks the pesticide down over time.
Yes. Depending on the type of pets you have, we will advise you if they need to be moved. Usually with dogs and cats, we just ask that you put your cat or dog inside the house or garage whilst we complete our external pesticide spraying. Once the treatment has dried, is fine for them to return to the yard. Otherwise they can be taken for a short walk or kept away from the property for the duration of the treatment.

Special Note: If you have a fish pond in your yard it is necessary that this be covered whilst our external pesticide treatment is taking place. Fish are very sensitive to pesticides. We will not spray near fish ponds.
If you would like the skirting areas behind your furniture treated, it is a good idea to move the furniture or any general items, within reason, away from the skirting areas. Please be careful as we don’t want you hurting yourself! If we can access all your floor skirting areas, we will be able to apply a better line-of-defence against pests and the better protection you will have. There is no need to move refrigerators or dishwashers as we use different products and equipment in these areas that do not require movement of large appliances.
You don’t need to leave while we’re carrying out the treatment, but we do recommend avoiding all treated areas until they’re fully dry. As a guide, this is usually around 20 minutes indoors and up to 40 minutes outdoors, depending on the weather.

Our products are safe to be used in areas that people and pets occupy, don’t stain, and generally have little to no odour. However, if anyone in the home is pregnant, has asthma, allergies, or other health conditions, we recommend taking extra care and avoiding treated areas until they are completely dry.
Generally we recommend a General Pest Treatment be completed annually to protect you against webbing spiders, cockroaches and silverfish however it depends on where your house is located and what pests are a problem for you. Some clients like to have the service completed 6 monthly.
