Termite eradication and treatment - Drop Dead Pest Control

Termite Eradication And Treatment

If you do have active termites at the property, we strongly recommend completing a Full Termite Inspection to determine the extent of the issue. This way, our Inspectors can tailor the most effective treatment plan for your home to offer the best protection.
What does the Termite Eradication Process Look Like?

1. A Full Termite Inspection is completed to determine the extent of the issue and a digital report is supplied detailing our findings and recommendations.

2. Our Inspector will discuss with you the treatment options and what is required.

3. Our Inspector will prepare a proposal and quotation to eradicate the active
termites and for ongoing termite management at the property. Our office will then email this through to you and discuss the proposal over the phone.

4. Once you’re happy to proceed, we will schedule the 1st Termite Eradication appointment with you

5. After the initial appointment, we will then schedule termite eradication appointments approximately 2-3 weeks apart for as long as required to eradicate the termites. Our office team will pre-schedule these appointments with you.

6. If you have chosen to install a Termite Management System at the home, we will complete installation once the termite eradication has been completed.

7. We will then make recommendations for future inspections as required

It is important to bear in mind that termites are subterranean and different colonies exist in the environment at any one time; They are constantly travelling underground searching for moisture and food (timber). After eradication of a termite colony, without installation of a preventative termite management system around the areas of your home that are in direct contact with the ground, it is important to know, there is a possibility that a future termite colony may pick up on any one of the existing underground tunnels under your building and enter at some stage in the future.

Once your building has experienced termite activity, unfortunately these existing mud tunnels into the structure still exist somewhere unknown under the ground and without an ongoing termite management system in place, there is a high risk and possibility of re-entry of a new termite colony at some point in the future.

With this in mind, if you have chosen to install a full Termite Management System as part of your initial proposal and agreement, your system will be or may have been installed already. It is important to follow the advice of your Inspector regarding the frequency of future Termite Inspections, as termites, given the right conditions, have been known to bridge termite management systems.

If you have not chosen to install an on-going full Termite Management System around your building to assist in preventing and managing any future termite activity affecting your home after the termite eradication is complete, we respect your decision, however we strongly suggest you do consider installing a Termite Management system, or at least as a minimum completing 6 monthly Termite Inspections. This way any future termite activity can be picked up quickly and effectively dealt with.
