German Cockroach Treatment | Drop Dead Pest Control

German Cockroach Treatment

German Cockroaches are one of the most troublesome household pests. They are often brought into homes or businesses unknowingly, and if left untreated, can multiply rapidly and become a serious health concern. Our German Cockroach Treatment is specifically designed to flush out and eradicate live cockroaches while putting in place long-lasting protection to help manage ongoing activity.

On the day of treatment, our technician will inspect and target all identified harbourage areas where German Cockroaches are nesting. A specialised treatment is applied to flush out and kill live cockroaches, while a residual pesticide with an Insect Growth Regulator is left behind to continue working after the service. This ensures that newly emerged cockroaches come into contact with the treatment. We recommend avoiding mopping directly up against skirting boards so that the residual remains effective for as long as possible.

Because no pesticide can penetrate the cockroach egg casing, follow-up treatments are often required. Each egg case can contain 30–40 baby cockroaches, and with hundreds of eggs typically hidden in cracks and crevices, additional treatments may be necessary once they hatch. If a follow-up service is carried out within two weeks, we offer it at a reduced rate. For heavy infestations, a follow-up is strongly recommended to ensure complete control.

Our technician may also suggest combining this service with a General Pest Treatment to create a wider protective barrier around your property. While a warranty cannot be provided for German Cockroach treatments due to the unpredictable number of eggs hidden in inaccessible areas, ongoing management and monitoring will help keep infestations under control.

How do German Cockroaches get into my home?

They are often unknowingly brought in on items such as grocery bags, cardboard boxes, appliances, or second-hand furniture.

Cockroach eggs are protected by a casing that pesticides cannot penetrate. When these eggs hatch, new cockroaches can emerge, making a follow-up service essential for complete control.

Yes. We use professional-grade products applied carefully and in targeted areas. All treatments are carried out in accordance with safety standards. We recommend avoiding treated areas until dry.

No, you don’t need to empty your cupboards. Just make sure all food items and utensils are placed away in cupboards or the refrigerator.

You may notice cockroaches coming out immediately after treatment as they are flushed from their hiding places. These will die shortly after contact with the pesticide. Some activity may continue for a few weeks as eggs hatch and the young cockroaches come into contact with the residual treatment. We recommend following our Inspectors guidelines for follow up treatments required.

Because it’s impossible to know how many eggs are hidden in inaccessible areas, no company can guarantee complete eradication after a single service. In addition, as German Cockroaches are a species commonly brought in from outside sources (such as boxes, bags, or appliances), we cannot control the possibility of them being reintroduced to your property. However, with follow-up treatments and good hygiene practices, infestations can be effectively managed and kept under control.
